Daily Market Summary
Hong Kong stocks fell with the mainland markets. The HSI closed at 25,074, down 92 pts. The main board turnover was HK$64.47bn.
CITIC PACIFIC (267) completed the acquisition of its parent company’s assets, and the share price fell 3% to HK$14.86, the steepest loss in the HSI. Mainland developers performed well. EVERGRANDE (3333) rose 4% to HK$3.38, as its interim underlying profit grew 39.3%. GREENTOWN CHINA (3900) expects the deal with SUNAC (1918) to go on smoothly. The share prices jumped 8.6% and 4.7% respectively. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang hoped the railway sector to rely less on state support and seek more private investment. Related shares declined. CHINA CNR (6199) and CSR (1766) sank 4.3% and 1.4%. China Railway (390) fell 2.8%.
