The HSI once dropped to 23,555, and closed at 23,678, down by 89 pts, losing the 100-day MA. The main board turnover was HK$66.8bn.

    Macau gaming shares rebounded. GALAXY ENT (27) and SANDS CHINA (1928) rose 3.6% and 2.8%, and became the top two gainers among the blue chips. It was said that Apple (US: AAPL) may launch iPhone 6 in China on Oct 10, 2014. Mainland mobile operators ended mixed. CHINA TELECOM (728) rose 1.6% to HK$4.94. CHINA MOBILE (941) and CHINA UNICOM (762) fell 1.5% and 0.5% respectively. Military shares performed well. AVIC INT’L (232) soared 25%. AVIC IHL (161) and CHINA ENERGINE (1185) jumped 10%.
