Daily Market Summary

Hong Kong markets performed well with the strong foreign market yesterday. The HSI once hit 23,581 pts, and closed at 23,534, up 271 pts, standing above the 10-day MA. The main board turnover was HK$65.02bn.

    BELLE (1880) rose 4.3% to HK$9.15, and became the top gainer of the HSI. HUISHAN DAIRY (6863) soared 4.1% HK$7.6, after announcing to form a joint venture company with FrieslandCampina. Other Dairy shares advanced as well. YASHILI (1230) and MENGNIU (2319) jumped 9.7% and 1.7% respectively. Automobile shares gained. GREATWALL MOTOR (2333) Sept’s auto sales fell 3.7%, yet share price rose 4.5% to HK$31.7. GELLY AUTO (175) and GAC (2238) climbed 3.2% and 2.1% respectively.
