Daily Market Summary

The Hong Kong market fell with the weak foreign market yesterday. The loss of the HSI once narrowed down to 99 pts and widened in late trading hours. The index eventually closed at 22,900, down by 239 pts. The main board turnover was HK$68.6bn.

    TINGYI (322) rebounded 1.95% to HK$18.78, the steepest gain of the HSI, after reiterated to have no associate with the crude oil scandals. Dairy stocks declined. MENGNIU DAIRY (2319) fell 2.7% to HK$32.65, and became the top loser of the HSI. BIOSTIME (1112) and CHINA MODERN DAIRY (1117) slumped 7.8% and 3.7%. China’s NDRC approved 3 rail projects, with a total investment amount of RMB95.9bn, leading gains in related shares. CSR (1766) jumped 5.9%. CHINA CNR (6199) and CHINA RAILWAY (390) rose 4.9% and 4.4%.
