Hong Kong Stock Market Summary

    The market performance didn’t have a clear direction in the previous trading day, HSI once gained 214 pts and it closed at 24,619, increased 115 pts, and the main board turnover dropped to HK$859.9bn.

    KUNLUN ENERGY (135) rose 4.1% to HK$7.09 and was the best blue chips; PETROCHINA (857) and SINOPEC CORP (386) went up by 2.8% and 1.4% respectively. AIR CHINA (753), announced non-public offering of A shares, also issued profit alerts, the share price fell by 7.4 % to HK$8.11. CHINA EAST AIR (670) and CHINA SOUTH AIR (1055) fell by 2% and 1.7%. Aerospace industry stocks perform well, AVICHINA (2357) rose by 5.9% to HK $6.59, AVIC INT’L (232) and AVIC IHL (161) rose by 3.5% and 1% respectively. GREATWALL MOTOR (2333) shed by 5.6% to HK$26.1, GAC GROUP (2238) and BRILLIANCE CHI (1114) dropped by 4.1% and 1.6% respectively.
