Commodities Comment:Pricing like it’s 1999
The latest round of jitters surrounding emerging markets have once againbeen sorely felt by commodity prices, with Monday’s moves pushing theBloomberg Commodity Index back to levels last seen in 1999. While Chinatends to dominate thoughts relating to industrial metals, if anything recentdata suggests a stabilisation or even improvement in Chinese demand.
