HIGHLIGHTS AHEAD。

    Wednesday’s session is going to be a relatively quiet oneas far as the global economic docket is concerned. In theUS, we receive February new home sales data, expected torise by 3.2% to 510k. St Louis Fed President James Bullardwill be speaking on Bloomberg TV & Radio tonight at 9pmSingapore time.

    In Singapore, February CPI will be out at 1 pm. HeadlineCPI is forecast to drop for the 16th consecutive month inFebruary (Bloomberg: -0.7% y/y; Jan: -0.6%) while coreinflation likely eased to 0.3% y/y from 0.4% in January. COEBidding results in Singapore will be announced at 4 pm.

    Philippines’ January imports are expected to remainin contraction at -15.6% y/y (Dec: -25.8%) and Taiwan’sFebruary industrial production (SG time 4 pm) likelyshows that output has continued to contract by 5.3% y/y(Jan: -5.65%).

    The monetary policy decisions in Thailand and thePhilippines are scheduled at 3.15 pm and 4.00 pmrespectively. Bank of Thailand (BOT) and Philippines CentralBank (BSP) are widely expected to be on hold today.
