Management admits falsifying minivehicle fuel efficiency by 5-10%

    On 20 April, Mitsubishi Motors revealed that it had conducted fuel efficiency testingon minivehicles improperly, thereby making their fuel efficiency appear 5-10% betterthan their true efficiency. A total of 625,000 minivehicles were affected, breakingdown into 157,000 eK Wagon and eK Space minivehicles sold under the Mitsubishibrand, and 468,000 minivehicles manufactured on an OEM basis for Nissan Motor.
