China:NBS manufacturing PMI unchanged in September
China’s NBS September manufacturing PMI came in at 50.4, the same as the level inAugust. Sub-indexes under manufacturing PMI showed mixed performances: Theproduction index increased to 52.8 from 52.6 in August while the new orders indexdeclined to 50.9 from 51.3. Trade indicators were better: The export orders indexcontinued to increase to 50.1 from 49.7 in August, and the import index went up to50.4 from 49.5 previously. Inventory indicators were lower: Raw material inventorywas down to 47.4 from 47.6 in August, and finished goods inventory fell to 46.4 from46.6 in August. The suppliers’ delivery times were down to 49.9 vs. 50.6 in August.
The employment index was higher at 48.6 vs 48.4 in August. The input prices indexwent up to 57.5 from 57.2.
